About

I’m Paul Alan, a landscape painter based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Working in a realist style, I focus on iconic Prince Edward Island and Maritime subjects, including lighthouses, beaches, forests, and coastal scenes.

My passion for painting began during my school years and later re‑emerged following my 34‑year career in private radio, where I served as a morning host, Operations Manager, and Production Manager. I refined my technique under the guidance of PEI artists Susan Christensen and Henry Purdy and through additional study with professional artists such as Tim Packer, Shari Blaukopf, and Michael James Smith.

In 2025, my artwork was featured digitally in international exhibitions in Switzerland (twice), Palma (Spain), Berlin (Germany), St. George’s (Grenada), Dubai (UAE), Miami Art Week, and most recently at the Paris Carrousel Louvre exhibit—a premiere venue that welcomes 1.8 million annual visitors on their way to the Louvre.
