Sunday Drive by the Clyde
New Glasgow, PEI
This 20 x 24 Acrylic painting depicts a typical scene on PEI. This is the River Clyde near New Glasgow, PEI. The soil in the fields are rich and fertile, the river is home to trout.
First Crocus of Spring
There's nothing better than seeing your first Crocus of spring, popping through the soil, and sometimes even through the last remnants of winter snow.
Fire and Ice
A dozen Fir and Ice Roses in
full bloom on a mantle.
20 x 24 Acrylic
On The Vine
20 x 24 Acrylic painting, sort of. I originally used purple tones to paint an underpainting....then added a layer of varnish with yellow paint, then another layer of varnish with blue paint. Blue and yellow makes green. Repeat over and over to build up the colours. This painting has approx. 15 varnish tinted layers.
Little Sands Schoolhouse
Little Sands, PEI
Another painting experiment. This 20 x 24 acrylic painting uses varnished tissue paper adhered to the canvas then painted over with acrylic paint. A closer look shows a 3D texture on the fir trees and the vegetation growth in the foreground.
Park Stroll
Victoria Park, Charlottetown, PEI
This 20 x 24 Acrylic painting takes you on a walk through the many paths through Victoria Park in downtown Charlottetown.
